The Short Version: We Keep Your Data While You Need It

Your data is safe with us—but not forever. This policy explains how long we keep it and what happens if your account goes quiet for too long.

How Long Do We Keep Your Data?

  • Active Users: If you’re regularly using Scripto, your data stays put. No surprises.
  • Inactive Accounts: If you haven’t logged in for two years, we may delete your account and data.
  • Backups Stick Around (But Not for Long): Some data may linger in our backup system for security reasons, but it’s automatically deleted according to our backup lifecycle policy.

Heads-Up Before We Hit Delete

We won’t just wipe your data without giving you a chance to keep it. Here’s how we’ll remind you:

  • After 18 months of inactivity – We’ll send you a friendly reminder to log in and keep your account active.
  • 30 days before deletion – If you still haven’t logged in, we’ll send one final notice before permanently removing your data.

Want to keep your account? Just log in. Need a copy of your data before it’s gone? Let us know before deletion.

Want Your Data? Want It Gone? Here’s How!

  • Access Your Data – You can request a copy of your stored data anytime by emailing support@scripto.live.
  • Delete Your Account – You can request deletion through your account settings or by contacting us at support@scripto.live.

If we’re legally required to hold onto certain data (for security, compliance, or auditing reasons), we’ll let you know.

We Follow the Rules

We comply with data protection laws like GDPR and CCPA, which means:

  • You have rights over your personal data.
  • We’ll always be transparent about how we handle your information.
  • If the law requires us to keep certain data longer, we’ll do so responsibly.
